It is safe to say that this blog gets little to no reads, which is precisely the reason that it is safe to say that my thoughts (which are now displayed on the internet) are still purely my own; so, help me if this gets out. Regardless, I like to think of it as publicly sharing my current and greatest news with no judgment or repercussions. For now. Would you agree with me that adventure is one of life’s greatest pleasures? Cricket cricket… I take that as a yes. Well then, I am pleased to announce that in precisely less than five weeks life is taking me to New York. You heard it here first, friends. First stop is the Rockette audition. In fact, the day after I will be settling in will be possibly the largest audition I have attended. Although the chance of being one of New York’s finest leggy ladies is ultimately bleak, the is no reward that comes without risk. I am excited and happy, and the results of this initial audition will not change that. Throughout my first month I will be auditioning, attending modeling open castings, attempting to find a place to stay after my fist month is up, and searching for a job to pay for it all. So, my journey may last a month or it may last five. Only time will tell. Supposedly, I am getting ahead of myself. Perhaps I should wait to share news until it is set in stone, but where is the fun in that? I am still waiting to hear if the apartment I am planning to sublet for the first month is indeed available, so prayers would be appreciated.
Now, let’s rewind all the way to today. I am training my body to return to its former glory. This may come as a surprise, but taking nearly four years of only minimal dance does in fact lead to loss of muscle and skill. Who would have thought… Anyways, it is now onto a strict dieting and exercise regime so that I can give myself the best chance to succeed in the Big Apple. Planning and preparation are my middle names (at least right now in my life), and I am counting down the days. Now, my next step is finalizing plans and dates and then telling the world. Like the real world. Like Facebook. Oh, and my boss. And my best friends. All within the week. Wish me luck…
